I was looking for aR.O. Unit to Filter the water for My Marine Fish. After looking around several websites including this one and reading reviews covering several devives I choose the
"Aquaworld Compact RO (Reverse Osmosis) Unit "

Let me start off by saying ..

We are commonly known are Chlorine, Chloramines, Nitrates, Phosphates, Heavy Metals and water hardnes as they remove the harmful pollutants found in our water supply.

R.O. Units are beneficial to your aquarium water and therefore your fish.
R.O. can help fish and aquatics systems benefit from the use of R.O. water, not only soft water species such as Discus and Marine fish but all systems through the reduction of Phosphate and Nitrate levels, the single biggest cause of nuisance algae in any aquatic system.

Within an R.O. Unit there is a tightly bound semi-permeable membrane. By applying osmotic pressure in the form of tapwater mains pressure to one side of this membrane pure water molecules are forced through, leaving the larger molecules such as Nitrates and Phosphates behind.
This results a very pure source of soft water and a more concentrated waste water. R.O. water can in fact be too pure for the purpose of fish keeping; therefore it is important to recondition the water using a proprietary treatment.

I would highly recommend Aquaworld Compact RO (Reverse Osmosis) Unit. Very good quality and I checked extensively before buying! I find low price at Amazon.

This unit was easy to fit, and the instructions are easy to follow, however, the amount of waste water exceeds the filtered water by more than double, and we are not quite sure if this is correct or not, there seems to be no guideline on the average. that I've noticed anyway.This may be correct , but just not sure.
Hence 4 stars instead of the full 5.

But still worth buying as it saves having to carry heavy water cans from the pet shop.
So, in my mind YES its worth it....

I had rated this item before at 3 stars as I had not received the instruction manual with the product, however I am going to change my rating to 5 stars due to the companies excellent customer support.
Amazons policy is to remove email addresses for some reason, so I had been unable to contact the company, I then received an email from them confirming I had not received the instruction manual, they then sent me the manual via email which is excellent for me as the instructions I had found on the internet were not for the same model.
